Our Process

Food dehydration can be achieved through various methods, each with its own advantages. Each method has its specific applications and is chosen based on factors like the type of food, desired shelf life, and nutritional retention.

  • Sun Drying: Utilizing direct sunlight to evaporate moisture from food. This method is traditional and energy-efficient but requires warm, dry conditions.
  • Air Drying: Involves circulating warm air around food to remove moisture. It can be done using specialized dehydrators or by hanging food in a well-ventilated area.
  • Oven Drying: Using a conventional oven set at low temperatures to dehydrate food. This method is effective but requires careful monitoring to prevent cooking.
  • Freeze Drying: Food is frozen and then subjected to a vacuum, allowing ice to sublimate directly into vapor. This preserves flavor and nutrients well but is more equipment-intensive and costly.
  • Microwave Drying: Utilizing microwave energy to heat food quickly and evaporate moisture. This method is fast but requires precise timing to avoid uneven drying.
  • Vacuum Drying: Reducing pressure around the food to lower the boiling point of water, allowing for gentle moisture removal. This method retains more nutrients and flavor but can be complex and costly.
  • Infrared Drying: Using infrared radiation to heat and dehydrate food. This method can be quick and efficient, preserving color and nutrients.
  • Hot Air Drying: Similar to air drying but involves heated air that accelerates moisture removal. It’s commonly used in commercial settings.
